Methods (in-office vs. at home)
In-office whitening is done at the clinic under supervision: concentrated gel + gum protection and activation (if needed). At our clinic, the procedure is carried out over two days for stability. Tray/home options use a weaker gel applied at home over several nights — good for maintenance or for more sensitive cases.

When is it recommended and what are the contraindications

We recommend whitening when natural teeth have extrinsic or mild intrinsic discolouration. NOT recommended for teeth with untreated cavities, for restorations (crowns, veneers) that will not change colour, or during pregnancy/breastfeeding. The dentist will check the condition of your enamel and prosthetic work before the procedure.

Post-whitening care and how long it lasts
The effect lasts from several months to several years, depending on diet and hygiene. Avoid coffee, tea, red wine and smoking for 48–72 hours; use whitening toothpaste and regular professional scaling. For maintenance, we recommend a booster session every 6–12 months.

Veneers vs. whitening — when to choose what
If you only want colour whitening, choose professional whitening. If the tooth has irregular shapes, fractures or significant substance loss, veneers (or crowns) offer a complete aesthetic change, but they are invasive and more expensive solutions.
